Hey fever

You come around when it’s sunny and my skin is showing,

Trynna get in my orifices, eyes and nose.

You choose to take the easy way in,

catch me when I’m off guard and I’m just breathing,

teasing air into my grand nose with no repose.

You sit and tickle at my insides and I squirm at your touch,

I shouldn’t like you this much but I do.

I ball my fists and clench my toes as you shamelessly make room for yourself inside of me.

And you linger until I am sneezing, then finally: “Bless you.”
